Pleiades, Sanskrit: Kṛttikā, Bahulika, Arabic Al Thurayya, is a young, open star cluster in the constellation of Taurus. The brightest main star is Alcyone, Eta (η) Taurus, known as Amba in Sanskrit, and Arundhati. In ancient astrology, the Pleiades were considered the Guardians of Heaven, the first object to pay attention to when preparing a birth horoscope. Alcyone, Amba is one of the fifteen basic Fixed Stars that are marked in the cosmogram and from which the image of a person begins to be built to study his fate, tendencies and conditions. Forecasting using a birth horoscope without taking into account the Fixed Stars, including the Pleiades, often causes fundamental mistakes and incorrect interpretations. The Fixed Stars are for the cosmogram like a skeleton for the structure of the body. Forecasting without Fixed Stars gives an image that looks like the shape of a human being with all the bones removed. It can be said that the sweet influence of the Pleiades, mentioned even in the Bible, is something like the spine in a human body in a horoscope.
In Babylonia, astrologers called the Pleiades by the term Temmenu, which means the Cornerstone, or in other words, the Foundation of the entire Horoscope. It can be said that divination based on the location of the Pleiades itself is more valuable than from being born under a specific zodiac sign. In Eastern astrology, the brightest star of the Pleiades, Amba, is simply the Mother, a being that gives correct motherhood, the model of being a good mother, but also reveals the deviations of motherhood, depending on the aspects of the moving objects of the sky, Lights and Planets. Arundhati is the wife of the sage Vasishtha, a being who remains faithful to her husband because of his knowledge and wisdom and spirituality. In the period from about 4.5 thousand years BC to about 2 thousand years BC, the Pleiades were mentioned in the astrology of Babylonia, Persia and India as the Equinox Point, i.e. they were located at the zero point of the Sign of Aries. In Indian astrology, they are considered separate, one of the 27 constellations called Nakshatra or wives of the Moon.
In Arabic astrology, which has Persian and Indian influences, Alcyone is al-Wasat, the Central Being, the Centre of All Things. From al-Wasat came the idea of the so-called Great Central Sun, which rules everything, having a great influence not only on the solar system, but the entire surrounding cosmos, the local Brahmandam. Another name al-Nair means an object that is Shining, Luminous, Radiant, fuels inclinations towards Light (Hebrew: Orr, Sanskrit: Jyoti), and increases darkness, accidents and blindness, also organic, in those who deny the divine Light of God. In astrology, it is a guiding star, a star of guidance, a good star for people who have living spiritual guides from the Light, and an unfavourable star for people who reject the Guidance of the Light and authorities in the form of a Guru based on truth and justice.
Positive influences include the strengthening of such aspirations and tendencies as the desire for peace and quiet, inner peace, peaceful attitude, optimism, good nature, ambition in its positive sense towards the realization of dreams, success and prosperity in agricultural professions, horticulture, horticulture and agriculture and an increase in the tendency to travel and travel discoveries. The Pleiades also give fame and support outstanding and lofty people. They also give fame and increase the sense of honour. This is the good energy of honourable and sublime people.
Negative and fatal influences include accidents, tendencies to frequent injuries in minor and serious accidents, blindness both as an eye disease and in the form of fanaticism or ideological blindness, tendency to violence and pederasty, morbid feminism and other harmful nature, exaggerated emancipations, any disturbances of the mind or senses. Fatal influences especially concern people who rebel against authorities showing truth or justice, as well as people who reject enlightened spiritual guidance and do not have a living spiritual guide. These facts probably have a significant impact on the rejection by modern astrologers who are morbidly seeking their own path of the methods of researching and interpreting the Pleiades and Alcyone in clients’ horoscopes, to the great detriment of clients interested in astrological scientific assistance and astro-psychology.
For a real astrologer, i.e. a professional studying the influences of the stars, and not some astro-psychologist, a dubious specialty hastily created by poor pseudo-esoteric schools with an emphasis on pseudo, creating a cosmogram begins with plotting the location of the Fixed Stars, with particular emphasis on the location of the Pleiades. To this you add the Lights, i.e. the Sun and the Moon, and only then add the Planets. The ancients did not deal with invisible objects, such as Pluto, because the influence of the light of something completely invisible on human fate is poor. Indeed, ancient astrology studied the influence of the stars, which can be seen in aphorisms such as: “born under a lucky star”, “born under a fatal star”, “stars rule fools, and wise men rule the stars.” Modern people, since they ignore the Stars in astrology, are certainly more fools than astrologers. However, they deal with small rock fragments in the form of asteroids, the impact of which is certainly negligible due to their meagre size and the small amount of light they provide.
The Pleiades have always been the central mythological figure of sidereal, constellational, but also Babylonian, Egyptian and Greek astrology. The Pleiades are the central point of the cosmogram, the basis for interpreting the horoscope, as it were, the interpretive base. The star Amba, beautifully shining Alcyone, is the balance of Fire and Water, the brightness of the Sun and the beauty of the Moon. This is how astrological knowledge describes this mysterious object of Heaven, little known to young astrologers today. Amba is called Agnibhuva as born from Agni, the Fire of God, and also Gangaputra meaning born from the River Ganga. It carries the characteristics of the Lord of Flames and the Lord of Water, a perfect harmony between the elements of Fire and Water. In the East, the harmony between Fire and Water is celebrated as the state of a perfect, perfectly harmonized divine person. Therefore, the star Amba or Alcyone has a harmonizing effect, it is like a cosmic Ray of Harmony cleansing from bad karma, bad conditions and tendencies that can be called disharmonious or even discordia – as a source of accidents, collisions, disturbances of all kinds.
The Pleiades are six stars above the fifth magnitude, easily visible to the naked eye, and four small stars between the 5th and 6th magnitude, visible only in good atmospheric conditions, which are increasingly difficult to obtain in urbanized city agglomerations. In Poland, the Pleiades are clearly visible in the evening sky from November to March, four months of the year. The Sanskrit name Krttikas (Krittikas) comes from the six mothers of the deity Skanda (Kartikeya, Sanatkumara), who saved the world from the invasion of very evil demons, and Amba herself (Mother) also known as Durga (Durgādevī) is identified in mythology with the Demons-Slayer Woman, the slayer of all evil, malicious and harmful creatures. Mother Amba as Goddess Durga also saves the world from the invasion of evil demonic forces using ten mythical heavenly weapons, removing evil and saving humanity from enslavement and mass possession by malicious demonic forces. The Mother Star Amba as the main star of the Pleiades, i.e. Alcyone, is therefore a force that releases and saves from all evil in a person’s horoscope, a force that removes illusions and possessions, deceptions and temptations.
Six Magic Lights from the Pleiades
Shatkṛti, Shatshas Śakti and Saptamātaras are frequently used names in Sanskrit for the Bahulikā or Pleiades. Shatshas (Shatshas) Śakti is the Sixfold Power, the Magical Six Cognitive Powers of the Mind. Saptamātaras are the Seven Stars, or rather the Seven Rivers or Streams of Power flowing from these stars. Traditional Indian astrology names a total of nine stars in the Pleiades, thus representing perfection, but the main six or seven brightest stars are often used for mystical purposes. The Pleiades in Eastern astrological culture are the six powers of the enlightened mind of Goddess Durga Devi, the Warrior Mother. The size of the open Pleiades cluster is approximately 12 light-years. The Pleiades in the sky are visible in a square measuring 60′ x 60′ arcminutes. More specifically, the cluster’s core is about 8 light-years in diameter, and the rim is about 43 light-years in diameter. The brightness of the Pleiades as a whole, the brightness of the entire cluster visible from Earth, is about magnitude 1.4. This makes the Pleiades a bright and interesting object to observe, especially since it is related to the awakening of the six cognitive powers of the Third Eye. Right ascension (ra) is 03h 47m 00s and declination (dec) is +24st 07m 00s.
Amba (Mother), Arundhati, Alkione (Alcyone), eta (25) Tauri, magnitude 2.86m, Right ascension 03h 47m 29.1s Declination 24° 06′ 18″, blue giant, quadruple star with several components, component Alkione A alone emits about 1,400 times more energy than the Sun, and has a mass 6 times greater than the Sun! For yogis, it is used to awaken the Kundalini, which shines like a thousand suns!
Dulā, Dolā (Flowing, Fluctuating), Atlas, 27 Tauri, brightness 3.62m, Right Ascension 03h 49m 09.7s Declination +24° 03′ 12″, the star is a white-blue giant in the triple star system, it radiates 940 times more strongly than the Sun, giving a lot of energy in the ultraviolet, its mass is about 5 times greater than the Sun.
Nitatni, Electra, 17 Tauri, brightness 3.70m, Right ascension 03h 44m 52.5s Declination +24° 06′ 48″, white-blue giant, double star, shines 1225 times brighter than the Sun, having a mass of about 5 solar masses.
Abhrayantī (White Cloud), Maia, 20 Tauri, magnitude 3.86m, Right Ascension 03h 45m 49.60s Declination 24° 22′ 04″, giant 5.5 times larger than the Sun, white-blue star emitting 660 times more light than the Sun .
Meghayantī (Storm), Merope, 23 Tauri, magnitude 4.17m, Right Ascension 03h 46m 19.6s Declination +23° 56′ 54″, white-blue giant, its glow is described as brilliant white with a touch of purple, mass 4.5 times larger than the Sun, it shines 630 times brighter than the Sun.
Varshayantī (Rainful), Taygeta, 19 Tauri, brightness 4.29m, Right Ascension 03h 45m 12.5s Declination +24° 28′ 02″, white-blue giant, triple star, the brighter component shines 600 times brighter than the Sun, and the weaker one about 150 times, together the system gives 750 times more energy than the Sun, Taygeta A has a mass of 4.5 solar masses, and Taygeta B is 3.2 solar masses, orbital period is 3.6 years.
The remaining Pleiades that are still visible are Ćupuńikā (Śupunikā) or Pleione 28 Tauri with a brightness of 5.09m, Ashadha (Aszadha) or Celaeno 16 Tauri with a brightness of 5.44m and Ukhā or Asterope 22 Tauri with a brightness of 5.64 for the brighter component. The tenth star, Sterope 21 Tauri, has a brightness of 5.65m. Ćupunika means “Glorious, Virtuous”; Ashadha is “Pine tree, Pine”; Ukhā simply means “Cauldron”.
Around the second half of May, the Sun is between the Earth and the Pleiades, creating a conjunction of the Pleiades and the Sun in the sky, in 2009 it was around May 20/21. At the beginning of June, at dawn, the heliacal rising of the Pleiades is already visible. In many human cultures, this is a sacred cosmic moment, an event worth celebrating. Such a Pleiadian New Year. In November, the Earth is between the Sun and the Pleiades, which causes the Sun’s opposition to the Pleiades, and immediately after that, the evening, vesperal rising of the Pleiades. The half-year begins when the Pleiades are in the night sky, first appearing at sunset. The conjunction of the Sun and the Pleiades cluster is one of the most important events in the astrological year, just like the opposition of the Sun and the Pleiades.
A heliacal rising is the moment when an object (star, planet or moon) becomes visible for the first time in the east at dawn, after having been hidden by the horizon or invisible because of the brightly shining Sun. After its heliacal rise, the star appears slightly earlier each day and remains visible for a longer period before its light fades away. The sun moves eastward relative to the stars along the ecliptic. Finally, the star ceases to be visible in the sky at dawn as it disappears below the western horizon – this is the heliacal sunset. After about an astronomical year, the star will have its heliacal rising again, as is the case with the open Pleiades cluster.
Not all stars have a helical rising; depending on the observer’s position on Earth, some are visible continuously above the horizon at dawn until their light is no longer visible due to the brightness of the Sun. Constellations with stars having heliacal risings were used in ancient times to build calendars and count time. In ancient Egypt, the beginning of the year fell on the heliacal rising of Sirius (June 15) and coincided with the beginning of the rising waters of the Nile. Heliacal star rises were also used by the Sumerians, Babylonians and Greeks as a signal to begin specific agricultural work.
Ecliptic and Zodiac
The ecliptic is the great circle on the celestial sphere along which the Sun appears to move throughout the year as viewed from Earth. The ecliptic plane contains the Earth’s orbit. The orbits of all the planets in the solar system lie very close to this plane. The zodiacal constellations are located along it. The inclination of the plane of the celestial equator relative to the ecliptic, i.e. the inclination, slowly changes over time and is currently 23° 26′, so it is approximately ~23.5°, which is a consequence of the tilt of the Earth’s axis. This angle was already determined in ancient China around 1100 BC, and in India in the time of Krishna, i.e. 3000 BC, i.e. even earlier. This was done by observing the length of the shadow cast by the gnomon. The inclination, i.e. the inclination of the moon’s orbital plane relative to the ecliptic, is ~5°. The most important thing in all this is the fact that the Pleiades were known in various astrological systems a long time ago, so it is surprising that modern astrologers ignore them.
Because our solar system is quite flat, the planets’ orbits also lie near the ecliptic plane. Additionally, zodiacal constellations are located along the ecliptic. This makes the ecliptic a very useful reference point for locating the planets and zodiacal constellations, as they literally “follow the Sun.”
Since we have ~365.25 days per year and 360° in a circle, the Sun appears to move about 1° per day along the ecliptic line. This movement takes place from west to east, contrary to the daily movement of the celestial sphere from east to west. The ecliptic and the celestial equator intersect at two points called the Aries point and the Libra point. When the Sun appears at these points, the equinox occurs, i.e. night and day last approximately 12 hours at each point on Earth. Each planet (except Pluto) orbits the Sun on virtually the same plane, so it is always somewhere close to the ecliptic.
Due to its approximately 23.5-degree deviation from the ecliptic, the sun’s noon altitude changes throughout the year as it follows the path of the ecliptic. This causes the seasons. In summer, the sun is high in the sky at noon and remains above the horizon for more than twelve hours. In winter, however, the Sun is low in the sky at noon and remains above the horizon for less than 12 hours. Additionally, in the summer we receive sunlight at a more nearly right angle, which means that an area receives more energy per second in the summer than in the winter. Differences in the length of the day and the amount of energy received per unit area lead to the temperature difference between winter and summer.
When the Sun reaches its furthest point north of the celestial equator, it is the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere. When the Sun is at its southernmost point, the opposite is true. The apparent movement of the Sun along the ecliptic line – the result of the Earth’s movement around the Sun and its axial tilt is shown in the animation below. The abscissa axis is the Sun’s right ascension, while the ordinate axis is the declination. [Drawing]
When the full moon (Purnima) or new moon (Amavasya) is close enough to the intersection of its orbit with the ecliptic (orbital node), part of the Earth can observe the phenomenon of an eclipse. In the case of a full moon, it will be a lunar eclipse related to its passage through the penumbra or shadow of the Earth, and in a new moon, it will be a solar eclipse related to the casting of the shadow or penumbra of the Moon on the Earth.
The ecliptic is associated with a spherical coordinate system called the ecliptic (ecliptic longitude λ and ecliptic latitude β). The ecliptic latitude β of a given point located on the celestial sphere is the angle between the direction from the observer to that point and the ecliptic plane.
Ecliptic latitude is calculated from the ecliptic, northwards it is positive, southwards it is negative. Great circles perpendicular to the ecliptic plane are called semicircles of latitude. Ecliptic longitude is the dihedral angle between the semicircle of latitude passing through the point of Aries and the semicircle of latitude passing through a given point in the sky. The direction of angle calculation is consistent with the annual movement of the Sun.
The ecliptic is the path that the Sun draws in the sky during one year, and the Zodiac is 12 equal sections into which the ecliptic is symbolically divided. The zodiac cannot be seen in the sky because it does not consist of stars or constellations, but is an abstract creation, it is a great circle used for astrometric calculations and measurements.
The ecliptic, together with the zodiac, is somehow permanently “attached” to the Earth and therefore the zodiac (unlike the constellations) is not subject to precession. The ecliptic is a mathematical creation used to describe the sky in a solar year, because, as we know, it is not the Sun that moves around the Earth, but the Earth revolves around the Sun – but to an observer looking from the surface of our planet, it looks as if the Sun was moving.
This apparent path of the Sun, called the ecliptic, is divided into 12 equally apparent, equal, 30-degree sections, called zodiac signs, to have reference points for events that are observed in the sky. It is easier to determine where a given phenomenon occurs when it is described against the background of a specific section of the ecliptic, named after a specific Zodiac sign. The degree of a zodiac sign is essentially a way of giving the ecliptic longitude of the location of a given object. As a result of precession, the ecliptic longitude changes by about 50″ arc seconds per year.
Ancient astrologers used the concept of the degree of the zodiac sign, which in total translates into one degree of ecliptic longitude, and distinguished 360 points of the position of the Sun and other moving objects and stars along the ecliptic, interpreting them differently. This is very detailed astrological knowledge, much more in-depth than the classifications of the twelve zodiac signs or the 27 seven star constellations often used in India and Persia and Tibet.
The Moon Covers the Pleiades
The conjunction of the Moon and the Pleiades is an astrological event that takes place every lunar month, as well as the opposition or squares of the Moon to the Pleiades, but the most important and spectacular are the occultations, coverings or eclipses of the Pleiades by the Moon. For example, on December 29, 2009, between 1-5 a.m., it will be possible to observe the partial occultation of the Pleiades by the Moon, although the end of it will fall low above the western horizon.
One of the most interesting objects in the sky in the Moon’s path is the bright and spectacular open star cluster called the Pleiades. It is perfectly visible to the naked eye and lies on the border of the constellations Perseus and Taurus, resembling a miniature of the Big Dipper in its shape. On January 7, 2009, from 5-7:30 p.m., the Moon appeared in front of the Pleiades cluster, sequentially covering and revealing some of the brightest stars in this most famous open cluster. The Moon, in its movement across the sky, has just rached the Pleiades cluster, passing in front of its upper half. It was an opportunity to observe subsequent stars being covered by the dark edge of the Moon and their reappearance from behind the illuminated edge. You can observe such phenomena with the naked eye, but it will look much more spectacular with even the simplest binoculars. On December evenings and in early January, the Pleiades are visible in the southeast, quite high in the sky. The next opportunity to observe lunar occultations of the Pleiades is July 18, 2009. Esotericism considers this time of covering the Pleiades by the Moon as convenient for the increased activity of dark forces and the invasion of demons.
Sunday conjunction. On Sunday, April 26, 2009 in the evening, around 9 p.m., you could see the conjunction of the young Moon, Mercury and the Pleiades open cluster in the sky. The encounter occurred only about 10 degrees above the northwestern horizon. The narrow crescent of the New Moon two days after the New Moon shone at a very short distance, only 1.4 degrees from Mercury, whose glow was comparable to the brightest stars in the sky, and 1.2 degrees from the Pleiades. Each of these bodies is worth observing in its own right. The young moon after the New Moon always looks spectacular. The opportunity to observe Mercury does not come often because this planet is close to the Sun and is often lost in its glow. The Pleiades are one of the closest open star clusters to us – easily visible to the naked eye.
On April 23-25, 2010, under favourable weather conditions, just after sunset, you will be able to observe the conjunction of the Pleiades with Venus over the western horizon. Earlier, from March 30, 2010 to April 9, 2010, you can try to observe the conjunction of Mercury and Venus low above the western horizon just after sunset. From May 13, 2010, first we have a conjunction of the Moon and the Sun, then around the 14th there is a conjunction of the Moon and the Pleiades, and around May 20 there is a conjunction of the Pleiades and the Sun, giving a new solar-Pleiadian year. In the morning around June 11, 2010, you can try to observe the conjunction of Mercury, the Moon and the Pleiades, but Mercury will be rather difficult to observe in such conditions. It is worth remembering this time as a special moment for astrological purposes. In such cosmic moments, very interesting souls are born.
From April 1, 2012 to April 4, 2012, after sunset, you can observe an exceptionally beautiful conjunction of Venus with the Pleiades, where the planet Venus will pass through part of the Pleiades, even giving a close conjunction with Alcyone, i.e. Amba. At this time, the common properties of Venus and the Pleiades are strengthened, as a harmonizing influence of the outpouring of beauty and divinity of the rulers of Heaven. Below, Jupiter, the astrological guru or priest among the planets, will be very clearly visible. Venus will shine exceptionally brightly during this time, reaching approximately -4.33 degrees magnitude, i.e. stellar magnitude. Jupiter only magnitude -1.63. Previously, from March 10 to 15, you can follow the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the evening sky after sunset. On February 9-10, 2012, you can also use binoculars to observe the conjunction of Uranus and Venus after sunset, but it is worth learning to recognize the planet Uranus in the sky through binoculars, because it is a faintly luminous object of about magnitude 6.1, basically not visible to the naked eye. Therefore, it is not a spectacular phenomenon, although Uranus is a large planet in the solar system considered the Gateway to Cosmic Consciousness. Ancient astrology emphasizes the analysis of objects visible in the sky, objects with high luminous power, which is true even in relation to the Pleiades, as this open star cluster with more than a thousand stars in it is indeed an object of incredible radiance and attracts attention.
On May 20, 2012, the Pleiades pass the Sun as part of a conjunction giving another solar-Pleiadian year, and from May 21 to 22, Jupiter will be in conjunction with Mercury, near the Pleiades, however, due to the proximity of the Sun, it will not be a conjunction good for amateur observations, although you can try in the morning before sunrise. At the end of June 2012 and at the beginning of July 2012, you can observe the morning approach of Venus with the Pleiades for about 2 weeks, but it is quite distant and not that spectacular, because Venus in its movement only moves closer towards the Pleiades and then rapidly moves away, although the conjunction will be beautiful Venus and Aldebaran between July 8-11, 2012. The turn of June and the beginning of July is also the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the morning sky just before sunrise, i.e. around 3 a.m.
Jupiter and Pleiades conjunction – Guruvara
From June 5 to 15 you can try to observe the conjunction of Jupiter and the Pleiades, with maximum approach around June 11, 2012. It is worth starting to observe the phenomenon around 3 a.m. above the eastern horizon, looking first for the rising of the Pleiades and then for Jupiter. Around June 20, the already divergent remnant of the approach of these two important astrological objects will be visible. As you can easily associate, the conjunction of Jupiter and the Pleiades happens once every twelve years, because that’s how long it takes Jupiter to complete one orbit of the ecliptic. The conjunction of Jupiter and the Pleiades is called the beginning of the Jupiter New Year in astrology, and in the Orient the beginning of a new cycle of the Guru, Year of the Guru, Guruvara, i.e. this period is very good for performing secret initiation rites, accepting new students, and the rite must be performed preferably at sunrise. when the Pleiades and Jupiter are already visible. The cosmic cycle or Jovian year lasts from one conjunction with the Pleiades to the next, in terms of twelve years. The time of this conjunction, very narrow, as is the time of birth in astrology, is a good date for the birth of outstanding spiritual or political leaders, preferably combining both occupations. Jupiter as Guru will be clearly visible near the Pleiades throughout the year, also in the winter sky of 2012/2013, and even during retrograde motion it will approach the Pleiades again.
Around May 26-27, 2013, a few days after the conjunction of the Pleiades and the Sun, there will be a fascinating phenomenon of a triple conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and Mercury, visible from 8-10 p.m. low above the western horizon, just after sunset. Before that, on May 24, 2012, there will be a conjunction of Mercury and Venus, which then quickly approach Jupiter together. From May 29 to June 3, you can try to observe the conjunction of the Pleiades with Mars just before sunrise, which, due to its proximity to the Sun, will not be easily observable.
The beautiful evening conjunctions of the Pleiades and Venus as Vesperi occur approximately every eight years. We remember the conjunction of April 3, 1972, together with the conjunction with Saturn simultaneously and a few days later with Mars, on April 3, 1980, April 3, 1988, April 2, 1996, observed in total from April 1 to April 4. Also from April 3, 2004 (visible from April 1-5), and we would like to remind you about the phenomenon that will take place on April 3, 2012 (from April 1-5, 2012) and April 3, 2020, as well as on April 3, 2028… On March 28, 1972, Saturn, Mars, and the Pleiades aligned to form a conjunction, which preceded the close transit of Venus through the Pleiades on April 3/4, 1972. In essence, Mars came between Saturn and the Pleiades on its way. Around April 17, 1972, Venus caught up with Mars and formed a conjunction.
Saturn and Pleiades Conjunctions – Saturn Year – Śanivaram
YEAR OF SATURN. In its approximately thirty-year journey through the sky, Saturn, Śani, at the beginning of June 1971 began to approach the position of conjunction with the Pleiades. On June 5-6, 1971, Mercury passed between Saturn, close to the Pleiades, almost obscuring it. On June 11/12, Venus, chasing Mercury, also crossed the Saturn-Pleiades conjunction line, only slightly further than Mercury. In the following days, in the morning between 2 and 4, visible Saturn underwent an exact conjunction with the Pleiades, marking the beginning of the Saturnian New Year, Śanivaram. The astrological new Saturn cycle, the last karmic cycle of the 20th century, began around June 15, 1971. On June 20, between 4 and 6 p.m., the Moon completely covered the Pleiades, unfortunately in Poland it was still daytime.
Saturn, Śani, is near the Pleiades, or more precisely in the eastern perspective, in the constellation Pleiades, for about 1.5 years, and this entire time of Saturn’s dance near the Pleiades is called the Birth of Saturn. Ambā in Indian descriptions is a great burning star of immeasurable brightness, the great immeasurable light of the sky. Ambā is a silvery flame that cuts all evil like a double-edged sword. Ambā is the guiding star, the star that guides the souls of all beings through various spheres of existence. In the history of astrology, Saturn’s dance around the Pleiades is well known from August 1941, when the first initial approach and withdrawal take place, where on May 1, 1942 it returns to the Pleiades and passes the Pleiades, to come closer in the next turn in February 1943, which gives a total of 1.5 year for the beginning of a new cycle of karmic transformation, with the superimposed beginning of a new cycle of Uranus and, as we know from history, the Great Patriotic War of 1939-1945 in the background. This is how thirty years pass!
Pleiades eclipses are also an important point for every professional astrologer. This is the period when the Moon often crosses the Pleiades, causing an eclipse. The next lunar eclipse of the Pleiades takes place on August 14, 1971, in the morning hours before sunrise. Saturn, as part of its retrograde loop, returns to the position of conjunction with the Pleiades in January and February 1972. When the Moon frequently causes eclipses of the Pleiades, it increases the material and demonic forces on Earth, as we witnessed in the early 1970s.
On May 31, 1972, there was a very close conjunction of Saturn and the Sun, and also earlier the Sun crossed the Pleiades-Saturn line. On June 1, the Pleiades-Saturn line is crossed by Mercury, and on June 3, 1972, there is a conjunction of Mercury and Saturn.
At the beginning of August 2000, Saturn, Śani, after a period of over 29 years, approaches the Pleiades again and enters into conjunction with the open nebula and Alcyone. Around August 4, 2000, the Saturnian New Year, Śanivara, begins, a new karmic cycle begins, as well as the first thirty years of the new 21st century and the Third Millennium. Saturn then retrogrades in its usual loop and re-conjuncts the Pleiades on April 18, 2001. The new Millennium can finally be considered to have begun, because the Saturn cycle coincided with the beginning of the Millennium and the 21st century. The children of the new Saturn generation are being born, slowly setting new directions and creating the basis for a new cycle of the world.
Uranic New Year – A cycle of 84 years
In May 2026, a new Uranic cycle begins as the planet Uranus passes through its point of conjunction with the Pleiades. A new eighty-fourth anniversary will begin and the current eighty-four-year cycle which began during the war, described in the East as Rahuvara or Urnavara, will end. The previous Uranus-Pleiades conjunction occurred around April 27, 1942, just after the winter sky saw the meeting of four planets, including Jupiter, Mars and Saturn, and Uranus near the Pleiades. It can be said that the astrological cycle of Uranus or the Uranus Year lasts from April 27, 1942 to May 2026. The end and beginning of the Uranus cycle from around 1942 are the great changes of 1939-1945, i.e. the period of World War II with the confluence of the new Saturn cycle!
The next Saturn Year in astrology begins solemnly at the beginning of June 2030, when Saturn on June 3, 2030 will pass the Pleiades in conjunction just after the new solar-Pleiadian year starting on May 21, 2030. The second karmic Thirty Years will then begin for the reduction of burdens and balancing karman in the 21st century. On June 25, 2030, you will be able to see the spectacular morning conjunction of Saturn and Venus, where Venus will fertilize Saturn after its conjunction with the Pleiades. Planets in conjunction are understood to fertilize each other, giving birth to new ideas and possibilities. As part of the retrograde movement, in January and February 2031, the rapprochement of Saturn with the Pleiades will be repeated again, so that the new karmic cycle in the form of the Saturnian thirty-year period will finally be sealed. The period of madness, turmoil and twists of fate, i.e. the double conjunction of Saturn with the Pleiades, is a period of confusion, chaos and uncertainty in the world, and truly trained astrologers should be able to interpret it in the horoscopes of people and nations.
As we can see, we welcome the Saturnian new year for several months by observing Saturn’s retrograde loop near the Pleiades, its first and second approach, like a double birth.
On June 3, 2032, in the constellation Taurus, four planets: Mars, Mercury, Saturn and Uranus will form a quartet in the form of a rhombus or a cosmic cross. Nearby, closer to Aldebaran, the Sun will also be in conjunction with Venus. It will certainly be one of the most interesting phenomena in the sky for astrologers of the future generation who will work in those years. Around June 16, Mars, Uranus, Saturn, Venus and the Sun will be virtually in close proximity to the Taurus stars.
In the spring of 2051, Neptune and Ketu will pass the Pleiades in their movement, and their conjunction with the Pleiades will determine a new, almost 165-year Neptunian cycle in the development of human civilization. The current Neptunian cycle began around 1886.
At the beginning of August 2059, the next, third Saturn cycle in the 21st century will begin! Every self-respecting astrologer should know and be able to calculate the planetary cycles starting with the conjunction with the Pleiades, with Alcyone, with Amba, the Mother of the Fixed Stars, which is over 1,300 times larger than the Sun of our Planetary System and is the Central Light shining in our vicinity over a thousand times more powerful than the Sun. The conjunctions of Saturn with the Pleiades mark another generational year of astrological phenomena, and in fact an entire civilizational era for the generation of people researching the relationship of Stars, Lights and Planets with the fate of people and nations.
The Pleiades have the nature of Mars and the Moon
According to Ptolemy, the Pleiades have the nature of Mars and the Moon, or rather the union of Mars and the Moon. They bring success, prosperity, but also the fight for a just cause until victory and the power to win in working for the common good. Visually, the Pleiades seem to be sitting on Taurus’s back or shoulders. The Pleiades are considered the Central Sun of the Universe, the Central Being in the Cosmogram, the Cornerstone, hence the aspects with the Pleiades, even the difficult and unpleasant ones, are understood as the action of Destiny, God’s Will or Karmic Law, the action of Fate, are related to the Inevitable. The Light of the Pleiades is a subtle protective power for human beings and the heavens.
At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, the Pleiades were in the last 29 degrees of the Sign of Taurus due to the phenomenon of precession, moving increasingly towards the Sign of Gemini, at a rate of about 50 (arcseconds) per year. The positions of the Fixed Stars should be updated by about 50 (arcseconds) per year relative to the ecliptic, which means they move in the Horoscope against the background of the Zodiac signs, which gives a wealth of civilizational evolution, many possibilities in a long cycle such as the precession of the Aries point relative to the celestial equator. Since the Fixed Stars move along the ecliptic about 50 seconds of arc per year, they move by a full degree, i.e. 60′ (minutes of arc) every 72 years (3600 : 50 = 72 years). At the beginning of the 21st century, the Pleiades enter Gemini.
In astrology, the Pleiades are called the seven weeping sisters, because the conjunction of the Pleiades, as well as their 29th degree position in the Sign of Taurus with other important points in the horoscope, can result in tragedies conditioned by karma, such as blindness due to an accident or blindness due to shock, disgrace, falling into disgrace or problems due to shame or disfavour of the ruler, physical, mental or economic ruin, bringing oneself to ruin or a cataclysm causing ruin or even death as a result of violence, attack, etc. The negative aspects cause a tendency to face injuries and damage, facial diseases and accidents that damage the face, hurting the physiognomy and identity.
Pleiades in unfavourable aspects very strongly return the so-called bad karma and compensate for old debts. The thief is robbed and the murderer is murdered. The Pleiades symbolize the justice of karmic law. The malefic, malevolent influence of the Pleiades may manifest itself in suicidal tendencies for religious or spiritual reasons, as well as suicidal actions in the name of defending one’s shallow religious faith, which intensified significantly in the world during the Pleiades’ stay in the last 29 degrees of the Sign of Taurus. This is nothing other than self-purification from morbid tendencies and inclinations, from false faith. In fact, only pure people, almost saintly, with quite good karma, without hidden evil tendencies, benefit from the “sweet influence” of the Pleiades and draw beneficial inspirations from the Pleiades.
The Anaretic Degree, i.e. the final position of the celestial object in the area of 29-30 degrees of the Zodiac Sign, is known as the position of destiny, fate, doom and death. The Pleiades in the 29th degree of the Sign of Taurus release what has accumulated as the fate of the soul, especially as a burden for souls wandering towards perdition, towards spiritual death. Such souls intensify their disastrous anti-spiritual activity by showing what destiny they have chosen for themselves. It can be said that this is the time of the Final Judgment manifesting itself in the lives of people on Earth. All disastrous tendencies, weaknesses and inclinations of souls unsuitable for spirituality, heading to the so-called eternal destruction, are shown. Planets, Lights and Fixed Stars to this extent show man the problems and tasks that he will eventually have to face anyway.
Anareta is literally from the Greek Destroyer, an area of location in which malefic, ominous and inauspicious in their nature celestial objects have a devastating, destructive impact on someone’s life, fate, soul, as well as on their activities and destiny. Jupiter with its influence transforms the negative manifestations of karmic influence from the Pleiades into heavenly Light. Generally, this is an indication that the bad aspects of fate due to the location and influence of the Pleiades can only be transformed with the help of a spiritual being symbolized by Jupiter, i.e. by the divine Guruh, because Jupiter is the Guru of the planets in astrology.
It should be added that Jupiter is both a Guruh and a Priest, Brihaspati, so the real Guru for transforming bad fate into a good one is the Guruh who is also a Priest, i.e. a ritualist. Brihaspati is a Priest – Shaman who performs secret rituals and initiations. Therefore, those who, deceived by the haunted, morbidly avoid all gurus, and especially initiation and the initiatory bond with a guru, are the worst losers and can expect a bad fate, because the reward comes as a destiny, an end state, precisely for such harmful types.
The location of the Pleiades in the 29th degree of the Sign of Taurus should also be considered due to the properties of the 29th degree in the Zodiac Sign. Each degree of the Zodiac Sign has its own specific features and highlights certain human properties visible in its Cosmogram. Disastrous and destructive visions increase to this degree, so people who have the 29th degree filled with visionary objects can expect an increase in visions of a destructive and catastrophic nature. They then do not have a prophetic character, but rather are karmic releases and are not suitable for the purposes of preaching and dissemination. Such visions and dreams can be troublesome nightmares, so there is an increased number of people suffering from troublesome visions and nightmares, also because for a period of about 72 years the Pleiades are already in the 29th degree of the Sign of Taurus, basically at the beginning of 21st century, ending your relationship with the sign of Taurus and starting with Gemini. The Epoch of the Pleiades in the sign of Taurus lasted 30 x 72 years, i.e. it was a long period of approximately 2160 years of changes in the human history of the development of consciousness, science, culture and religion.
Apocalyptic, false but terrifying prophecies, can become significantly stronger and a good astrologer sees during this period the influence of the cumulative action of the Pleiades from the perspective of the 29th degree of Taurus in which they are located. An astrologer cannot be fooled by apocalyptic stories when an object such as the Pleiades is in the 29th degree of some Zodiac sign, because this is always a period of intensification of nightmares and catastrophic visions, and consequently psychoses with delusions and the activity of visionary fraudsters, such as then they announce the next end of the world every few years. Generally, it is a purification, a reduction of the bad karma of crazy people who have no predisposition to prophesying, but only cheated in the past, claiming to be fortune tellers and clairvoyants, misleading others. Now their bad karma that they have accumulated through incarnations is being released. The period of the Pleiades’ stay in the 29th degree of the Sign of Taurus is a time when you have to be very careful when choosing fortune tellers, magicians, shamans and haunted freaks, healers, because a significant part of this company are fake but well-advertised lunatics, rather crazy than spiritual.
As we know, the 29th degree in the Zodiac Sign is also a time when people often and rapidly change their decisions, opinions and will, so it is a bad period for esoteric education of people or making lasting commitments. Some spiritual schools have practically suspended the recruitment of students for this time, assuming that there is too high a risk of the student leaving, falling, resigning or even rebelling against the master. And in the Name of the God of Heaven, those who quickly misappropriate the received initiation, knowledge, light, wisdom and power are not taught.
When it comes to people’s decisions and resolutions, the Pleiades to this extent accumulate karmic difficulties in maintaining bonds, direction, decisions, keeping promises or fulfilling honourable decisions. A characteristic feature of the influence of an aspect in the 29th degree of the Sign is a sudden change, a change to something else, departure, resignation, change of direction, a sudden change into its opposite. Similarly, oscillation between two opposite decisions and difficulty in making a final, clear decision, such instability of character – this is also a feature of the 29th degree. Hence the world and people are as they are, and all social ties are loosened. In the spiritual and esoteric fields, you see people who violently abandon and destroy their masters or gurus, which is clearly the influence of the aspect in the 29th degree, the release of demonic tendencies accumulated in the form of clusters of karmic seeds. But this situation will end as soon as the Pleiades strengthen in the zero degree of the Sign of Gemini, and will radically change already in the first degree of Gemini. The influence of the Pleiades is therefore felt throughout a long generation, and the people who set the directions for the development of civilization in the 20th and 21st centuries will surely pass away.
The beneficial influence of the Pleiades is the ability to follow the internal seven-step path, interest in mental and spiritual factors in healing, and the use of prayer and meditation to improve one’s fate. The beneficial influence of the Pleiades sister cluster and their aspects is subordination to divine beings, gurus, masters and saints. The sense of holiness of Brotherhood – Sisterhood, searching for environments functioning on the principles of spiritual brotherhood, perceiving people as if they were one big family full of sisters and brothers, are positive aspects. Fire rites for healing or improving the weather, harvests and fire healing ceremonies are indicated as basic beneficial influences on the human race. The need for spiritual assistance in the treatment or healing process is a need recognized by the beneficial influence of the Pleiades or their aspects. Beneficial impulses from the Pleiades manifest themselves in strong catharsis-type cleansing, in the treatment of emotions through strong and thorough cleansing of the emotional level, through deep relief from emotional pain and suffering.
The need for healing initiations is particularly inspired by the beneficial influence of the Pleiades or their aspects. People who push you to initiation, journeys that inspire you to initiation, guilt that forces you to initiation, and even people who tiringly agitate you for initiation, especially in healing systems, are positive influences emitted on the waves of Light of the largest of the Fixed Stars in the Pleiades, Alcyone, the Mother Ambā. It can be said that everything that leads towards more spiritual levels of healing and initiation is a signal of a beneficial influence, and everything that leads away from spiritual initiations and healing methods is a signal and symptom of an unfavourable, malicious, malefic influence.
People with the influence of the Pleiades often go through a period of “shedding tears” in their lives due to suffering, but as a result they achieve a very strong will, honesty and sincerity, which become virtues so strong that there is no strength to overcome them. The conjunctions of the Pleiades, Lights and Planets intensify whenever the Pleiades are in the rising position and during their culmination on the local meridian. Travelling healers, missionaries, preachers, and various gurus are often influenced by the Pleiades. In some small secret Christian communities it was and is believed that the Pleiades, and in particular Alcyone or AMBA, is the cosmic place where the Throne of God is located. Such beliefs increased significantly in the 19th century, although their roots go back to early Christianity and Job 38:31: “Can anyone bind the sweet influence of the Pleiades, or cast off the bonds of Orion?” The Patriarch and Prophet Enoch already associated the Pleiades with God and Salvation, and Orion with demonic forces that cause imprisonment and fetters of consciousness.
Conjunctions of Lights and Pleiades
SUN. The conjunction of the Sun and the Pleiades, which occurs annually in the second half of May, brings chronic diseases such as a runny nose, throat problems and ailments, blindness or cecity, weakening eyesight, evil charms, facial damage, illnesses with vomiting and nausea, shame and disgrace, falling into disgrace, which may also be the end of spring love, an evil or harmful disposition, evil inclinations, murder or being murdered, imprisonment; death due to an epidemic or plague, beating, stabbing with a knife or dagger, gunshot, hunting, beheading, shipwreck and ship sinking. The type of death does not mean a short life, but only the most typical way of leaving this world. If the conjunction takes place in the seventh house, the karman of blindness is seen, especially if Mars or Saturn is conjunct with Regulus. If the conjunction takes place together with Mars and Venus, the person will be a great king, a leader with great respect in the nation, but also with many weaknesses, frailty and infirmities. Very pure people with good karma often deal with healing or curing the above-mentioned ailments and problems, but they are sometimes abandoned by their loves, unjustly slandered or disgraced, which gives them greater strength for enlightening activity. Surya Namaskaram done with devotion at dawn and sunrise helps to overcome all the mentioned unfavourable possible phenomena.
MOON. The MOON conjunct the Pleiades brings facial damage and injuries, disease, failure, bad luck, wounds, puncture wounds and stabbings, disfavour, disgrace and shame, imprisonment, blindness, visual damage especially when in the Ascendant, cross-eyedness, inability to distinguish colours or damage to eyes due to some growth on some other possible aspect. If the conjunction takes place in the seventh house, it may be a total blindness, especially when Saturn or Mars conjuncts Regulus and the Moon is on fire. The Moon, especially when it passes through the Pleiades, causing their eclipses, contributes to the increase in the discharge of negative karma according to the mentioned phenomena. The seers then have an objective impression of an increase in the number of misfortunes and catastrophes, but they usually do not see that the reason is the frequent monthly occultation of the Pleiades by the Moon. People with pure and good karma can help others overcome the above-mentioned ailments, and can also protect others, as if magically, against repeated bad luck or eye diseases.
Conjunctions of the Pleiades and Planets
MERCURY. The conjunction of MERCURY and the Pleiades usually brings many disappointments, let downs, loss of property, great losses in legitimate businesses, business failures, problems and troubles caused by children. Characteristic are disappointments with everything a person touches and gets involved in. There is a clear connection between failure and the legality of interests, work and business. For people with clean and good karma, Mercury from the Pleiades brings interesting new possibilities, which, although they seem to be on the verge of the law, are quite legal, although it is usually not clear or obvious. Mercury from the Pleiades teaches people to live good and pure lives without attachment to property, without the sense of I and mine, which is usually a guarantee of success and good luck.
VENUS. The natal Conjunction of VENUS and the Pleiades brings disgrace, shame and disfavour, immorality, strong desires, disease, vomiting and nausea, as well as loss of wealth due to women or passions. For a person with good, pure karma, the conjunction of Venus with the Pleiades is a time of fascination and mystical raptures, sometimes a strong cleansing with physical torments, a time of freedom from enslavement by immoral desires and a sense of shame. Such people can also donate all their wealth to charity or to a temple and never regret it.
MARS. The natal MARS Conjunction with the Pleiades brings accidents and head injuries, many head injuries, losses and suffering due to fire. If Saturn is in Conjunction with Regulus at the same time, it brings death by riot. For people with pure good karma, the conjunction of Mars with the Pleiades brings a fiery transformation and a transformation of the mind. The fire ritual is recommended to all people with this conjunction to overcome negativity.
JUPITER. The conjunction of JUPITER with the Pleiades brings a tendency to deceit, deceit and falsehood, hypocrisy, problems with the law and religion prevailing in a political way, losses due to relatives, expulsion, banishment or imprisonment. For people with pure and good karma, the conjunction of Jupiter and the Pleiades gives them a strong ability to detect cheaters and fakes, as well as a tendency to expel such people from their lives, even if they are family members. The Pleiades also enhance the Jupiterian features of Gurutva, i.e. the ability to spiritual lead and priesthood in people who are spiritual and cleansed of karman.
SATURN. The conjunction of SATURN and the Pleiades brings a lot of diseases, nausea and vomiting, nodular diseases, chronic diseases of the entire family, many losses but also prudence, mindfulness, attentiveness, caution. People with clear and good karma usually encounter the above-mentioned terrible things only around them, are often involved in helping someone who is chronically seriously ill, and are also characterized by a prudent approach to all treatment and care of the sick.
Uranus and Neptune in eastern astrology have as counterparts Rahu and Ketu, the astral planets of the lunar nodes. According to observations, the conjunction of Uranus with the Pleiades causes the activation of mental powers and an increase in typically occult tendencies and interests. The conjunction of Neptune with the Pleiades increases boldness, a sense of honour, gives wealth and fame and helpful friends. Similar phenomena occur during the conjunction of the Pleiades with the lunar nodes.
Location of the Fixed, Royal and Behenian Stars. Occultation.
The basic Fixed Stars used in astrology to describe a person’s character and his fate are from several to a dozen or so objects. The most important Fixed Stars of the Sky after the Pleiades and Alcyone are the so-called Four Royal Stars, i.e. Aldebaran, Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut. These four stars are the Cardinal Fixed Stars marking the four directions in the sky, the guardians of the cardinal directions, the stars of the four archangels. If we add Sirius, Spica and Algol due to his periods of very strong malefic influence, we have absolutely necessary basic Fixed Stars for a very beginner astrologer. According to available astrological data for the year 2000, the Pleiades, and in fact Alcyone, were located in the 29th degree 58′ minute of the arc of the Sign of Taurus, so around 2002/2003 they moved to the 0th degree of the Sign of Gemini. The Pleiades, Bahulika is a star cluster and you have to wait a while for it to move in its entirety to the Sign of Gemini, but the shift of the central star is already under the influence of a new degree of zodiacal work.
The most important aspect of the Fixed Stars that is taken into account in the Cosmogram is the Conjunction with the Lights and Planets. The strongest effect of the Fixed Stars is visible if, at the moment of interest to us, such as the time of birth, such a star is above the horizon, i.e. it passes through the local meridian. Moreover, in astrology, everything that is above the horizon line, i.e. what shines above the head of the person being born, is very important, and much less what is happening below the horizon line. Secondly, objects that are rising or setting while being visible but on the horizon are important. A cosmogram is mainly the appearance of the sky at the time of birth or another important moment that is examined by an astrologer. Nowadays, astrologers really should buy themselves at least a small home planetarium, or a decent amateur dome for observing the sky in the form of a home observatory on the roof of the house. Otherwise, forecasts may be unrealistic for reasons as trivial as lack of imagination and basic ignorance of phenomena that are happening in the sky.
Among the more important stars are those that are subject to periodic occultation, that is, being obscured by moving objects in the sky, such as Lights and Planets. In essence, stellar eclipses by the planets, the Moon and the Sun occur frequently and are called full or complete conjunctions. In essence, the occultation of a star by one of the planets or lights is one of the most important phenomena in astrology and professional astrologers attach great importance to finding such moments in calculating the meaning of the Cosmogram and weighing advice for a given person. During the occultation, the power of a given Planet or Light increases significantly, combining with the power of the turned off star subject to temporary occultation. An eclipse increases the power of a planet or Light, and yet the Sun or Moon, as large objects, almost always cover some important star, which should be carefully considered by all kinds of astrologers.
ALGOL (β Per), Gorgon – a variable star in the constellation Perseus, whose brightness changes were discovered by Goodrick in 1783. The name comes from the Arabic ra’s al-ghūl, meaning the Devil’s Head. Similarly, in Hebrew, this star is called Rōsh-ha-Sāṭān, meaning Satan’s Head. Algol is also known as Lilith in astrology. Algol is an eclipsing system with an orbital period of 2.87 days. Brightness changes range from magnitude 2.12 to magnitude 3.29. They are the result of the alternately brighter and darker components of this binary star being obscured. The eclipsing system consists of a hot main sequence star of spectral type B8 and a less massive giant of type K0. The entire group of Algol-type variable stars is named after Algol. Algol is different than typical Fixed Stars – every three days, or more precisely, every 68 hours and 49 minutes, it dims for 8 to 10 hours. For the ancients, this was proof enough that there was an evil spirit lurking there, hiding and plotting something from time to time. Good powers have no reason to hide or cover their lanterns.
Algol is currently located about 92-93 light-years from Earth, but about 7.3 million years ago it was only about 9.8 light-years away and had a brightness of about -2.5 m. It is the most inauspicious, malevolent of the Fixed Stars, and a demonic star. For example, Taurus people born between May 15-20 have a strong influence of the Sun-Algol conjunction in their horoscope! Such a Taurus may be a person leading an intense and passionate life that excludes any tolerance for evil and injustice. Such a person can be very harsh, brutal, merciless and destructive towards all evil and unfair people around him. Such people may feel the influence of Algol or Gorgon on their birthday and also whenever there is a transit through the 26th degree of Taurus. People with a planet at 26 degrees Taurus or a node or other aspect may feel less intense Algol’s influence.
SIRIUS – also known as the Dog Star or Sothis in Egypt and α CMa – is the brightest and one of the closest stars in the night sky, located in the constellation Canis Major. Its observed brightness is -1.47 magnitude and its distance from the Solar System is approximately 8.6 light-years. Sirius can be seen with the naked eye from almost the entire globe, except for latitudes north of the parallel 73.284°N and in the Northern Hemisphere it is one of the vertices of the winter triangle. Under favourable conditions, Sirius can be observed with the naked eye even during the day. Sirius, which appears to be a single star to the naked eye, is actually a binary star, consisting of a bright, white main sequence star of type A1V, known as Sirius A, and a companion white dwarf of type DA2, known as Sirius B.
The Egyptians based their calendar on the heliacal rising of Sirius, which occurred shortly before the Nile floods and before the summer solstice. Thanks to this, Egyptologists developed in the 20th century Sotis dating, which allowed for the reconstruction of the approximate chronology of ancient Egypt. Many Egyptian temples were oriented so that the light of Sirius was visible from the altar. Sirius symbolized Isis, Goddess of magic and family, wife of the ruler of the afterlife, Osiris. Being 8.6 light-years (2.6 parsecs) from Earth, Sirius is one of the closest stars. Sirius’s closest neighbour is the star Procyon, which is about 5.2 light-years (1.6 parsecs) away. Sirius is larger and more massive than the Sun, and its absolute glow is 21 times brighter than the Sun. Sirius shines with a bright blue-white light very popular among healers to ward off evil spirits and demonic forces. However, ancient records say that Sirius gives off red light, which may indicate very old data, before the B component exploded from the red giant into a white dwarf. In ancient China and India, however, Sirius is the model for the so-called white light.
Behenian Stars. There is a secret list of so-called fixed Behenian stars (BS) that are particularly useful in ritual, magical, prayerful and similar activities. There are 15 Behenian stars, and their name comes from the Arabic word “Bahman” meaning root, because these stars are the source of power for one or several planets of the solar system. Each of these stars is associated with a gemstone and a magical plant used in rituals and for making talismans. When a given planet is within 6 degrees of the star’s influence, its influence on or rather through the planet is particularly strong and extremely pronounced. The position changes about 50 seconds of arc per year due to precession, the shifting of the Aries Point, so for each year the ecliptic longitude, i.e. the degree and angular minutes to which a given Fixed Star falls in the ecliptic belt, must be precisely calculated.

Final remarks
The description of the phenomena is given for the average time in Poland located in Warsaw, i.e. Warsaw time. The dates of the beginning of cycles and various phenomena are approximate but given with an accuracy sufficient for their observation or more detailed scientific research and exploration. The often-mentioned period of several days does not specify the exact culmination of the phenomenon, but it allows, depending on weather conditions, to see the ongoing phenomenon in the sky in the form of a conjunction, i.e. the maximum approach of celestial bodies. While writing the text, computer programs were used to simulate the image of the sky in a home planetarium, such as stellarium and kstars.
