(1). Many people who follow the spiritual path of self-improvement and development, mainly due to ignorance, fall into numerous sewers, side-blind alleys of spirituality, or even traps set by the ego or directly by the forces of evil residing on this planet! There are so many mistakes made by people who try to wander alone through mystical and transcendental realms that even among Spiritual Masters and Planetary Guides, they are the butt of strong jokes. The mystical mind, the mind of a spiritual person, is supposed to be more expressive and decisive, not foggy, muddy and scattered. When you clean your house, dust may rise, but eventually, it disappears, and the space becomes clear. For thousands of years, so much has been said about clarity of mind that we, spiritual teachers, are ashamed to repeat such obvious things to people whose minds are full of rubbish worldviews and flying dust and who consider themselves spiritual or well-enlightened. Gautama Buddha considered the basis of THE WAY, just like the ENTIRE YOGA tradition, to straighten out twisted views and ideas and cleanse the mind of incorrect views, and these are all concepts and ideas that hinder or prevent Spiritual Development! At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, the world, especially Western countries, has been flooded with pseudo-spiritual trash of low value or even useless for the fields of self-improvement and higher spiritual development! Acquiring the right views and beliefs, appropriate, that is, enabling spiritual development in general and accelerating it, becomes again, as in the times of Gautama Buddha, the most urgent necessity, hence the efforts of many Masters, Saints and Prophets to restore to Western people the correct knowledge about the spiritual Path and the spiritual development of human beings. There are no quick methods of Enlightenment in one weekend, and the alleged enlightenment in fifteen minutes or two days is one of the commercial absurdities that leads thousands of Westerners astray into a dead end and a nasty deception!
(2). There is a large group of false, erring disciples, especially in Western countries, who preach nonsense about their own paths or the need to abandon their masters and gurus. Meanwhile, all recognized traditions of mystical transmission from Master to Disciple show that the departure of a disciple from the Guru always means the fall of the disciple, the inhibition of his development, and if such a fallen one tries to teach something, after some time the whole teaching of the fallen spirit of an apostate is derailed, even if it is nice or it looked smart at first. Dropouts usually become spiritually burnt out after a few or a dozen years and stop their spiritual activities. This is because, by leaving the Master of Light, they have cut themselves off from the Source and are no longer supported by spiritual forces. The energy accumulated through practice with the Master is exhausted, and the person burns out, becomes inactive, and stagnates, which is the second stage of the fall of the fallen soul into the Darkness! It is not worth going to classes with people who have abandoned the Master, the Guru, or who are mainly concerned with criticizing their previous spiritual teachers they have seen because it is always a dead end and a mental sewer into which we are pushed due to the main sin which is IGNORANCE (AVIDYA). Wrong theories about one’s own paths are produced by people who confuse spirituality and spiritual development with the intimacy of a personal love life, which is built in relationships of one’s own choice! Such conceptual confusion is characteristic of the spiritually primitive world, at the lowest stages of the evolution of consciousness, at the womb levels, where spiritual needs are just awakening. However, the spiritual life and spiritual development of a person takes place in a team, in a group, and only thanks to the mutual support of the Three Jewels of the Path: Guru, Dharma, Sangha (Group) and the student, any spiritual student can achieve Enlightenment and Liberation, or even any progress!
(3). Oh, how we sometimes laugh at the revelations of local, home-grown spirituality hoaxes who promote, for example, the increasingly fashionable “rebirthing”, but completely in the opposite way than in the East, where the method is taught in its original form as Praṇa Yoga – simply Breathing Yoga. Masters teaching Praṇa Yoga well will teach many breathing exercises, and the entire local group or community eternally gathers around the sung, recited and contemplated mantram phrase: “Om Namah Shivaya!” Isn’t it hypocritical to use one basic circular breathing exercise, depriving participants of the rest of the rich spiritual and mental transformation program that Praṇa Yoga is in its essence?! There is a fear that the local leader has too limited a mind to understand the entire, quite simple system of practical exercises and is trying to get something for himself, mainly to make money from it. Unfortunately, this is not the way to people’s spiritual development. Praṇa Yoga, like any system of practical Yoga spirituality, requires well-educated and experienced leaders, teachers with extensive experience who make the most of the school’s opportunities for the benefit of people, and not those who deform the rebirthing system with their limited mentality, which even has trouble understanding that the name rebirthing is only the English equivalent of the name Praṇa Yoga, reflecting not so much the meaning but the content of the process of Spiritual Rebirth which has been repeatedly taught by the appearing Mahavatar Kriya Babaji over the last 1,700 years! It is a mistake to omit the mantram OM or the phrase NAMAH ŚIVAYA, which should be sung at the beginning and end of every group community session of Rebirth! Errors must be corrected and removed immediately, just like weeds in a well-tended garden! Creating your own partial subsystems in relation to the originally taught and comprehensive Praṇa Yoga method is not a new invention but a distortion and deviation of the system; it is leading people into a dead end and regressing, reversing souls in their development to a worse state in the end, than they were at the beginning when they joined the group allegedly promoting rebirthing given by the well-known Master Babaji!
(4). Sexual dreams with erotic content with spiritual teachers and fantasies with one’s masters or Gurus have for centuries been described in terms of mild mental disorders rather than spiritual experiences. However, such serious cases of delusions still appear, which can be compared to the phenomenon of yuppies accompanying leaders of stage music or acting and which has nothing to do with the spiritual life of people on the Path! We already know many people with headaches who went to Ashrams, even to India, with the hope of marrying some great Master and Guru, but from the Hindus they only received a referral for treatment of the headache in a well-known mental hospital or even a few lashes on the back for educational purposes for desecration of holiness, as the Master or Guru is not only a spiritualized human person, but also the Image of God or an Angel and, therefore, an object of worship and cult. Such behaviour is no different from the behaviour of a person suffering from chronic schizophrenia, who can supposedly fall in love with someone who has a family, and then brazenly, without even the consent or knowledge of the object of his love, i.e. the other party, moves into the house of such a person, thinking that since she fell in love, she has every right to it, even to destroy someone else’s family. The Master or Guru is God’s property, and people should not transfer their desire to possess someone for intimate or selfish purposes to any Guru! Demented by such pseudo-love, in fact, a sick, schizophrenic desire, people can even murder the object of their love if they refuse to cooperate in this sick game that is not love at all, as we know from the violent ending of the lives of several of the biggest stars from the artistic world! Real love seeks reciprocity because it is reciprocity itself, the spark of intimate feelings between two people, and it even suppresses a morbid crush because, as we have known for centuries, the whole point is for both people to want it simultaneously!
(5). The patent for truth syndrome, expressed as impersonating the teachings of one’s own masters or teachers, which, however, do not come from them but are the practitioner’s own, not very successful or even disastrous production is another serious category of erroneous ideas and false teachings in the field of spirituality! Masters require checking and correcting all understandings and interpretations to ensure a high standard for the teachings they preach, which should not be flattened or shallowed selfishly or trivially. Taking a quote out of context and adding some theory to it that the Master never preached is a typical, hypocritical move of people suffering from egotism and the so-called lust for one’s right, which usually turns over time into a caricature of spiritual science and a deteriorated delusion into dead ends. For this reason, it is required to know all the important Teachings by heart, including the circumstances of their delivery by the School Master! The Masters gave books written rhythmically, in verse, with basic general ideas so that it would be impossible to forget them after thoroughly learning them, with comments deepening the understanding of how to apply them and for what to use them in everyday life! The cure for those who rave under the banner of truth is the thorough study of spiritual knowledge under the supervision of a competent Spiritual Master combined with testing exams and memorization. An impure mind is, in particular, a mind that is filled with erroneous views in the field of spiritual development, laws and principles of spiritual path and practice!
(6) Many people with unhealthy minds loudly claim that in the field of private life or intimate relationships, some Master or Guru has told them to do something. However, the Truth is that great masters are, at best, cautious in suggesting or recommending anything and generally do not even allow interference in their Spiritual Disciples’ intimate lives or relationships. The tree is watered, but it must grow on its own, receiving proper nourishment in the form of science and spiritual practice! If someone expresses strict prescriptive judgments in this matter, that a Master forbids someone to live in a relationship with someone or break up with their family, these are usually interpretations of the Master’s words bent to their own needs or their dreams or understandings arising during meditation with the Master, and these should not be attributed to the Guru at all, but only to yourself and your mind! Celibacy is recommended for people living as monks or nuns, but no Master even insists that a disciple give up earthly love relationships for life in the Ashram, simply for that reason that the life of single monks or nuns is much more difficult than creating erotic relationships and living in a family herd. A disciple for hermit life must be very Strong and advanced in the Path! In extreme situations, at most, spiritual masters only approve and sanction the student’s sovereign decision to break up with their partner if the other party is mentally or physically damaging the person too much. However, this is an extreme exception, not a rule, and certainly not an order. Spiritual rules clearly state in what situations you can leave an object of love with whom you cannot live together. Still, even then, they do not command anything of the person, leaving the choice to students of spirituality in matters of their intimate relationships and love life.
(7). Remembering teaching others, we have a good example when we taught groups of people the art of massaging the back and kidney area. We taught thorough and solid massaging of the entire kidney area, between the hip belt and the diaphragm, but after a few years, we are surprised to see some people with headaches who shout that they learned from us and even forbid massaging the kidney belt area. The truth is that since such individuals experience pain and unpleasant sensations there, they require frequent and intensive massage of the kidney belt. This has been the opinion of specialists and healing masters in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years! People who deny the need to massage their kidney belts indicate a diseased state of confusion in their mind, and with lies in the field of healing, they distort the entire teaching and practice given for generations by Spiritual Masters! It is recommended that the back massage be started and ended with a more intensive massaging session of the kidney-hip belt! Massaging the kidney area is a basic way to remove accumulated negative emotions, frustrations, and self-deceptive thoughts. The person’s sensitivity and reluctance to some massage methods clearly shows what a bad emotional and mental state our client-patient is in! A common cause of kidney belt pain is both existential worries and frustrations, as well as morbid dissatisfaction with one’s sexual life or unjustified aversion or reluctance towards one’s partner. Even looking at a simple table of associations of an area of the body with emotions and negative thoughts is enough to publicly ridicule a person suffering from such a hypocritical massage technique! While teaching divine martial arts at the beginning of our incarnation, we taught how to massage all kidney points!
(8). Many people we have seen make another terrible mistake in their attitude and in thinking that they feel very sorry for those who, somewhere along the way, have fallen away from the practice and out of the community of a Master. This is a criminally inappropriate mental and emotional attitude. The ancient Masters of Wisdom, upon seeing a person, a male or female disciple, regretting that someone had dropped out of the Master’s spiritual group, had a habit of instructing such a person bluntly, asking such a person whether he also regretted faeces, the shit that is excreted and falls out of the anus. And it should be said that this is not yet the most explicit definition of what falls away and is expelled from the Sangha because stronger ones are also used in the form of comparison, but the meaning that the fallen as crap should not be regretted or longed for remains the same. Many good Masters of Wisdom do not take back a person who has been suspended for a long time and has stopped practising regularly. Masters prefer to teach a novice with the hope of finding a good student rather than someone unruly who is constantly growing horns on his head. You throw away a car that keeps breaking down; you throw away machines that constantly need to be repaired because they often break down and spoil the effects of the work done – these are modern comparisons, although traditionally, we simply say that the better the school, the more accessible it is only to the best students, for those who want to learn and who make significant progress and achievements. Those who play truant, do not want to learn, show that their head is sick and their mind is immature for serious decisions such as Spiritual Work, Learning or Studies! Someone who abandons friendship with you due to hatred of spirituality or practice, dislike of Guru or Sangha is not a good friend! You must be able to see the truth about what is and not distort reality. The good ones are those who remain in communion with the Guru and the companions of the Way. All those who have separated from their Spiritual Master are evil!
(9). When we see individuals who say that during meditation, a great master comes to them and jumps or crawls on their hand or knee, we do not see a spiritual person but rather a mental patient who may require hospitalization because of his symptoms, or at least thorough psychotherapy and healing of the contaminated mind! Gautama Buddha repeated the basic theses of spiritual Knowledge that were previously taught by Master Krishna and later by Jesus, and this is already common knowledge. Knowing the content of the Bhagavad Gita, we see that Zen Buddhists teach the form of meditative sitting perfectly described to Arjuna by his Master Gopala Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. Seeing the Christian love for Christ Jesus, we realize that we are simply seeing the ordinary practice of Bhakti Yoga described in the Bhagavad Gita, and Bhakti Yoga is love, reverence, respect and devotion for one’s own Source of Spiritual Knowledge and Practice, for one’s living Master and Teachers! For five thousand years, the general knowledge contained in the simple teachings of Lord Krishna in the book of Bhagavad Gita has also been a simple measure for learning to discern and recognize the foundations of spiritual knowledge and practice. You can clearly understand after even one reading of the Bhagavad Gita that the sensations of jumping or crawling on the master’s knee or thumb do not, in any way, belong to the spiritual field of knowledge. You need to start reading diligently about such phenomena in your home mental health guide in the hallucinations and delusions section!
(10). If someone claims to have some great mystical, cool, prophetic experiences, that’s no reason to get excited about it. Prophetic phenomena such as clairvoyance happen to completely non-spiritual people, for example, because of an associated possessing spirit that parasitizes them, giving them visions in exchange for life energy until it uses out its feeding ground and abandons it devastated. Characteristically, such visionaries usually disown all spiritual authorities, masters and gurus, even in a hostile and unfriendly way! Schizophrenics, due to their morbid sensitivity, may have states resembling mystical experiences, dreams, and visions, even correct and true at first. However, people with chronic schizophrenia should be aware that they are not able to learn constantly, and they do everything only periodically and on a whim, i.e. they go to spiritual classes with some Master for a few months or even years and then they leave everything they did quite suddenly and abandon it, doing something else, going to another Guru again and sometimes claiming, contrary to the truth, that they had never belonged to the Community and the Guru from whom they had been studying for many months or several years. The sudden departure of some mysticising person from the Community shows that the disease of the soul is deepening; the sick schizoid ego cannot stand the processes of purification and transformation of the interior; hence, it abandons the Guru, the Group and even maliciously negates the value of what it has been doing so far. Breaking the bond with the Guru and Sangha by a person known for his visionary experiences or mystical dreams is, therefore, not a sign of progress but only a deepening of the soul’s disease, which is a chronic form of usually mild schizophrenia with spiritual elements! A truly spiritual person will always support his Teachers, Masters and the Spiritual Group in which he took his first steps through his creative work, and only a schizophrenic will break ties with the Guru. Even Hippocrates mentioned this kind of mystical mental illness often seen in the West!
(11). An extreme disease of the mind is the desire that some people sometimes have to get to know evil at its source by so-called going to the dark side of the Force, contact with even the devil himself, Lucifer, or by doing evil, such as inflicting obvious harm on someone. Such inspirations have nothing divine or spiritual about them, and their source is some extremely macabre degenerate monster. Such channelling has nothing to do with contacts with angels or with God, nor is it an inspiration of the soul or comes from any master of the Way. Only some degenerate and derailed astral entities can send such thoughts and needs to become evil and harm others, justifying it, for example, that by knowing evil and being evil, it would be possible to help others better. The mind of an apparently human being must be exceptionally stupid, psycho-sadistic or completely degenerated to come up with something like this and to implement it. Spiritual inspirations from God or angels prevent evil, minimize suffering, and generally guide people to greater happiness and knowledge with the help of higher tools such as the purified super senses of the sage, the master of wisdom. This category of evil and mentally ill ideas includes variations such as praying for, for example, one’s own master’s family and loved ones to die off because then he would supposedly be a better Guru, more lonely or more easily accessible to students. Thought is action, and prayer especially, and a person should never pray for any harm to the Guru or Teacher because not only the one who prays so foolishly will suffer, but also the entire country in which he lives! We have seen a few stupid people in our lives who prayed to destroy the relationship of their trainer or spiritual teacher to take the place of someone close to their master, not necessarily even a very spiritual one, as in the case of several martial arts masters with wives and families. People who act in this way are not only wicked but usually very mentally ill, and they will have to make up for the damage they inflict on themselves for many incarnations. A spiritual student would rather give up their happiness than take it away from a sister or brother on the Spiritual Way, let alone their teachers or spiritual masters. The more spiritual and spiritually advanced a person is, the more he knows the law of renunciation and uses this law of renunciation for the benefit of all sentient beings.
(12). If for higher reasons, due to sensitivity to suffering, we give up eating the meat of slaughtered animals and give up their fur obtained at the price of murdering them, how could we deprive someone of his love and happiness to satisfy our lust? This is an unthinkable situation for a person with an open heart and developed higher heart emotions, and any tendency to break up and destroy other people’s relationships just to satisfy their desires is one of the basic signs of the degeneration of a human being. Whoever has a good, open heart does not wish his brothers or sisters on the Path neither the separation, break-up, or any other misfortune! Even more so, you cannot wish your own teachers or spiritual masters any separation from their wives or husbands because it would deny everything that such masters and spiritual leaders teach and show by the example of their lives. Gautama Buddha, like Jesus Christ, very strongly condemned being guided by a dark desire to conquer someone for sexual gratification or self-aggrandizement. In the spiritual culture of India, the Guru’s eventual wife is worshipped on an equal footing with the Guru himself – the spiritual Master, and showing divine worship, also in a ritual way, is a completely different, sublime category of feelings compared to sick envy consisting in the desire to steal the Master as a partner or some paranoid prayers for the destruction of someone else’s love relationship, when spiritual teachings recommend that even ordinary people from the street should be wished happiness and fulfilment in their love relationships by people on the Spiritual Way. Generally, you should refrain from your tongue and mind, even from possibly harming others in their private lives, and direct your thoughts to supporting all good people and strengthening their happiness. Of course, this does not contradict the right and proper reprimanding of erring ones or rebuking sangha pests! All such negative phenomena that we mention only show how wild and barbaric the so-called West is, where such phenomena, or rather pathologies, take place!
(13). You don’t miss those who dropped out or left, nor do you feel sorry for them, even though they seemed nice, because they belong more to the category of evil and unclean, and their actions prove it, not pleasant words or beautiful smiles. It’s easy to smile ingratiatingly for a moment, but it’s harder to endure the hardships of a long-term, many-life-long Spiritual Journey that leads to achieving a state of Enlightened Consciousness thanks to which a person qualifies for rebirth in a higher, heavenly form of existence! In spiritual training on the Path, we indeed teach smiling from the heart, but this is more for relaxation and good heart health and is not an indicator of the level of spiritual development. We repeat that people who are willing to learn throughout their lives, teach, research and study creatively are usually healthier and live longer, so it is a more glaring mistake to abandon eternal spiritual studies, which are sometimes called the school of life because they last throughout life and even many subsequent incarnations. Knowledge about the boundaries between Light and Darkness and what is Good and Evil from the divine point of view is the basis of spiritual self-development training, the basis of all esoteric or spiritual knowledge. Over time, a person becomes what he thinks about in a very realistic way, wherever it is physically possible. Frequent thinking about people who have fallen away from the Path and Guru has such an effect that a person who thinks about fallen people, misses them or regrets them falls over time and becomes a spiritually fallen person! That is why the Masters not only forbade remembering the fallen and apostates but also recommended not to fraternize with them or meet them! You won’t encourage a drunkard to abstain from drinking by drinking with him, the contact with evil will rather degenerate you!
(14). Beginning teachers and instructors who learned from the Guru in the Community should teach the novices in such a way that they would be able to accept the higher Hierarch, the Master of the School, as soon as possible and would willingly come to any teachings from the Master or the more senior spiritual teachers of the school. Those who started teaching after just a few or a dozen years of being students from scratch, and who stop novices and do not effectively encourage them to follow in the footsteps of their own Guru, make some glaring mistakes, the main result of which is leading novices into an erroneous, blind alley of spirituality. A novice teacher must not delay too much in presenting the novices who are studying with him to his Master, although a period of such a candidate of one to three years may be tolerated if the teaching is infrequent, irregular, or if the persons are very tardy. We advise that novices should be referred to us as soon as possible because our help flows through the Mandala of our presence, and the novice should see our living form as soon as possible and listen to the practice instructions from our lips. This is the method of the Laya Path, and the few exceptions are people who are far from the Guru. One is not yet a student of the Laya Path or any Yoga in general who has not been introduced to the main living Master of the Laya Path or his closest associates. The Guru has photos/portraits and addresses of each of his Spiritual Disciples; the Guru talks personally to each person he receives at Community meetings, and in particular, the Guru must personally bless even those initiated by the teacher’s assistant (aćarya) so that they can be recognized Disciples of the Spiritual Path! In general, you should not give more than the first initial lesson to people who have not participated in the programs conducted by the Guru – School Master until they come to the Master for a meeting of the Students in person! The teaching of each Laya Marga branch is methodologically communal and group-based, and the Guru’s Presence mandala itself is an Initiation Mandala for those who reside in it!
(15). Every decent Disciple of the Spiritual Master certainly develops unique activities according to his abilities and talents, as not everyone is an artist, painter, musician, singer or writer. Obviously, someone with talent in business can support the Guru Community more financially, and someone who is a singer and musician can sing songs about the Guru’s deeds and glory on the stages! However, such special gifts, talents and opportunities should not be confused with the sick idea of one’s own Path, where instead of spiritual development, we have the phenomenon of overgrowth of the sick and often autistic ego, falling into blind and mindless egoism resulting from erroneous views and concepts, and this is the leading cause of spiritual derailment of the human race. Psychopathy is generally defined as the inability to experience and manifest higher feelings such as mercy, compassion, tolerance, love for all creatures or all humanity, pity, caring, closeness, cordiality, and many other similar feelings. Isolation from society and communities, ruthless and murderous and consumerist attitudes towards animals, destructive activities in the exploitation of nature – all this shows psychopaths, spiritually underdeveloped people who have no human sensitivity or human reflexes. Forcing a woman to give birth and raise a child conceived during rape is a symptom of psychopathic barbarism in a very primitive society. Only people devoid of higher human reflexes can brutally force someone to experience the terrible tragedy of rape for many months, which shows that they are psychotic sadists with a tendency to torment others! Torturing a Negro because he is black is also the activity of individuals who are organically suffering from psychopathy, sadistic thugs whose heart and soul are completely degenerated. No one has to be friends with a Negro if the person’s character does not suit him, but tormenting him for a skin colour other than white is a symptom of primitive barbarism, which is called sadism and psychopathy with a criminal face! And it is precisely with such autism and psychopathy of selfish and demonic self-absorption that the so-called own paths end in subsequent incarnations, which have absolutely nothing to do with spiritual development and achieving divine consciousness. Gautama Buddha attained Enlightenment thanks to those with whom he practised intensely, much more than because he practised himself!
(16). O Students of the Spiritual Way, do not believe anyone who claims that as a Guru, I ordered him to live alone or break up with his or her husband or wife because we never order such things as a Guru, and people only distort Our advice and life instructions by referring to Guru because they are ashamed to say that they made any of their morally controversial or casually exceptional decisions on their own. Do not believe the instructions and advice of a person claiming to be a spiritual leader who does not have his own Master – Guru on this earth, a being known to support the leader, and the leader himself learns from this Being and willingly corrects his mistakes. If you have heard that I have admonished someone about his mistakes in teaching and spiritual activity and he has not improved, then do not listen to such a person and do not learn from him because sooner or later, he will derail you. The task of the Masters of Wisdom is to spread Divine Light and propagate Spiritual Divine Knowledge. Do not listen to people who, after being publicly admonished by Guru, still remain stuck in their mistakes and do not even consider correcting them. The Guru only guides people to the right Path and corrects their course if they stray. Do not believe people who do not have an earthly Master, a Guru-Supervisor, over them who actually corrects them and who only refers to contacts with beings on higher planes. This is one of the dead ends of spirituality and mysticism, a trap called possession by astral spirits or demons and other usually dark forces. The trap is so terrible that a person caught in such a way by astral entities first receives good knowledge, and when he surrenders to them completely, then he is sucked out of all energy so that even the death of the soul, and not only the body, may occur. In addition to those possessed by beings and demons, we also have schizophrenic individuals who project their delusions as an alleged higher or mystical teaching, but it is neither revolutionary nor consistent with the teachings of the ancient Masters of the Way. The revolutionary nature of transmitting spiritual science lies in the form and innovative transmission methods; there are no changes in Divine Knowledge regarding their content and meaning! It is enough to study what is the teaching common to the major scriptures of humanity such as the Veda, Bhagavad Gita, Tao Te King, Bible, Quran, and Adi Granth, to have clarity about the foundations and pillars of spiritual life for all humanity throughout the millennia. You cannot miss anything essential!
(17). If someone comes to a Master or Guru for a year or two, or even a few years, and learns a little, and then chooses only what he likes and rejects the rest because he does not understand or does not feel yet, he tries to develop his activity, teaching people, it shows that he is a mentally limited ignorant who, after finishing one or two semesters at the university and leaving school, wants to play the role of a master’s degree master, or even maybe a professor of spirituality with a patent for truth. Spiritual development is a long-term life process of apprenticeship with the Master, and Divine Knowledge has no end, so you can never rest on your laurels or say that you have obtained complete knowledge and completed your studies in the great, heavenly school of God. Rather, the student is increasingly aware of how much he still has to do, learn and practice. It would be good if these so-called Western leaders of some yoga, before they start teaching others a mantram such as ‘Om Namah Śivaya’, practised it at least half a million times, with full and alert awareness and good concentration. Master Babaji, the Mahavatar, recommends that the teacher practice the cycle at least five times, half a million times in his life. It’s good to remember such little things so as not to be proud and not to play the role of local wise men by making ourselves into clowns and buffoons of something that doesn’t even qualify as pseudo-spiritual! You also cannot make yourself a yoga or rebirthing leader by eating meat when the basics of any yoga, especially respiratory yoga, require the establishment of a vegetarian diet, and the leader must be a living example for people who will come for spiritual help, learning and practice of Rebirth or Self-Realization. The worse the leader, the worse the example, and the worse are those who abandon the Way in the face of the slightest difficulties!
(18). Guru, Master, Guide of Souls is primarily a doctor of the human SOUL, SELF, so to come to the GURU, you must understand the state of your soul, the self and want to change, repair and regenerate spiritually. Every sacred spiritual teaching or sacred writing of humanity reminds us that although humanity at the beginning of its existence was created on the spiritual level as Good, souls, selves or whatever human beings you prefer have become darkened, distorted, degenerated or fallen and must consciously improve and develop themselves in many fields to renew themselves and rise back to what they were at the beginning of their existence. According to the Eastern tradition, Gautama Buddha called this first stage of spiritual work Achieving or Reclaiming One’s Original Nature. In fact, it is more about regaining what you already were than achieving something new, but it is a very important basic process also called Becoming Yourself. Yoga has been talking for thousands of years about achieving the State of the Viewer (Drashtuh) and the Nature of the Self (Svarupah), which is understood as the Original, Own, Higher or Heavenly Self, or, more familiarly, we say, Soul! Each Yoga, according to the teachings of the Yoga Sutras, considers this process to be elementary but also reminds you that recovering your Soul is not closing yourself in egoism or autistic selfishness, but rather opening yourself, opening your heart to others and standing on the basis of selfless helping and willing helping others without getting tired. And it is through an appropriate attitude in life, through sincere openness, that we can recognize people who have the Higher Self, the Original Nature, as the basis of thinking and feeling, and not by the empty declarations and proclamations made by various human beings puffed up with their own egotism and exuberant self-concept. Do not believe in the spirituality or advancement of people who have abandoned some spiritual duties, roles or functions in the community for supposedly better functioning. Whoever abandons the work given to him in a spiritual group, regresses in development, and finally falls and goes into Darkness, it is not the other way! Spiritual advancement is visible in the greater amount of work done for the Guru Mission and the entire community, and not in speculations about previous incarnations or boasting about how many and what secret initiations there have been!
(19). Initiations are open and public to other members of the spiritual group, community, and organization, and each initiate shares his current address with other initiated members of the Sangha! No one has the right to hide the fact of belonging to the initiation Community or to conceal the address because people living close to each other should meet at least occasionally to share experiences and jointly perform basic spiritual practices intended for the entire Community! Members of the Spiritual Group striving for the Higher Self, Enlightenment, should at least partially try to behave like the spiritually great Self-Souls living on Earth, i.e. help and support each other in all major problems, difficulties and life struggles. No one in their right mind takes Initiation as if it were a commodity in a store, knowing perfectly well that each Initiation is essentially a ground-up admission to a Spiritual Community, Movement or Mystery, Esoteric School, with which we bind ourselves for life and death, for better and for worse, not only for one incarnation but for all other incarnations on this planet of Logos. The initiates will be reborn together in future incarnations, at once again having the opportunity to continue their spiritual work together at higher and higher levels of understanding and enlightenment! When you first come to the Guru for Initiation, you are left as a Soul, a Self, connected to the Aśram (Temple) of the Master on a higher plane, and many people feel it as a great cosmic event, a gathering of angels, but many people are not aware of what on the divine plan is Initiation and how important it is. Those who abandon themselves and stop working under the guidance of the Master, over time, are extinguished by the angels and placed in a kind of donkey’s bench or dark pit until they begin spiritual learning and practice again, humbly and repentantly returning to the Guru who took them under his protective, angelic Wings.
(20). Some people would like special treatment or recognition, and only under such conditions would they agree to belong to a spiritual movement or community with a Guru. We, as Spiritual Teachers, constantly remind that it is not the school that adapts to the student, but rather the student to the school, especially in such basic issues as the need for learning, practice and spiritual service! As Spiritual Teachers or Masters, we do not make any special considerations, favouritisms or distinctions between our students, except that the more initiations someone has accumulated, the more reprimands they receive for every, even the smallest, mistake. The Great Masters of the East have always recommended this attitude of Tathaghata to teachers of people and their older students – looking at people and things as if they are based on an equal basis, which is the Power of Enlightened Consciousness, without special attention or extra recognition! The higher the level of Initiation, the more initiations someone has obtained, the more we remind such a person that the more OBLIGATIONS towards God, towards the Guru, Dharma and Sangha he has obtained and he should take care to fulfil them all as best as possible during the time of this current human incarnation on this earth! Good students of the spiritual Way encourage each other to fulfil their obligations and work as best as possible!
(21). Sometimes we treat complete novices and dilettantes in the field of spirituality exceptionally, politely, and in detail explaining to them very basic and obvious things for long-time practitioners, but such an exceptional situation happens only once in the life of every person who comes to us. Sometimes, when they come to us again, those who got lost somewhere in their previous incarnations are treated with a slightly humorous reprimand for their previous negligence, and they wonder how the Guru knows them so well, “inside out”, and from this very side. We, however, teach and guide human souls through incarnations, remember and recognize them, and simply continue our work with those who must come to us someday anyway because God assigned them to us, that they found us and undertook a holy spiritual initiation. The Guru accepts souls, human selves, but human beings should remember that although on the earthly plane, they can do whatever they want, on higher planes, God still assigns souls to specific Masters so that the Master is the owner and shepherd, the guide of the soul, no different. The prophet Enoch, called Hermes the Great, Idris, El-Morya, taught a lot about this that God establishes a Shepherd (Guide) over every group of souls, nation and language and entrusts him with work “in the field” with souls and supervision over their spiritual progress that is, the development of the power of consciousness! Om Namah Śivaya!
